Analyzing a business and developing a robust corporate strategy requires a deep understanding of both growth drivers and potential risks. One effective way to approach this is through a top-down analysis, starting with the macroeconomic environment, then examining the industry landscape, and finally focusing on the individual company. This course will introduce various frameworks to explore each of these levels in detail. We will cover how to perform a PESTEL analysis to assess external factors, followed by an exploration of Porter’s Five Forces model, which helps evaluate the competitive dynamics within an industry, including the bargaining power of suppliers and customers, as well as the threat of new competitors.
